PRESS & PLAY is a collection of articles about Macedonian contemporary music published on the All About Jazz website in the period between 2015-2019. It encompasses reviews of the most important music albums by Macedonian artists, concerts, festival and projects, such as: Vlatko Stefanovski, Leb i Sol, Kiril Džajkovski, Foltin, Džijan Emin and Project Žlust, Ljubojna, Zoran Madžirov, Anastasia, Chalgia Sound System, Adi Imeri, Goce Stefkovski, Johnny Apelgreen, Skopje Jazz Festival, OFFest festivals etc. The book celebrates the creativity, wealth and innovativeness of the contemporary Macedonian music scene, as well as it provides an insight into a vibrant Macedonian culture and its major artists that has managed to thrive even during a period of major political and societal upheavals and turmoil in recent times. The author, NENAD GEORGIEVSKI, is a music collector, freelance journalist and avid book reader. He is also artistic and managing director of a film festival for music documentaries in Macedonia “Skopje Cinema City”.
